New Toys, Sweet Pea, Check out the Newsletter, and Canine Communication Seminar
Just a few things to address as we slowly progress through our off week.
First, we have some awesome new toys and treats to help with training and with keep your dog's mind busy and happy.
From Kyjen we now have
Tail Teasers
Fleece Tugs and Balls
IQube and Hide a Squirrel
Treat Dispensing Puzzle Toys
From Wet Noses we now have
Little Stars Training Treats! I know some of you have been looking for a closer to home place to pick these up and we now have all three flavors in stock at the Providence hospital.
A new shipment of harnesses should be in soon, and we may be adding more helpful training products in the future so stay tuned.
For those of you who don't already know, Sweet Pea, our February project puppy was adopted just after the March newsletter was released. We'll be adding our March puppy to the website soon.
Speaking of the March Newsletter, it can be found here.
Finally, in partnership with the Cache Humane Society, we're offering a canine communication seminar at the Logan Library on Thursday March 29th from 6:30 to 7:30pm in the Lake Bonneville Room. There is no cost for this event, but donations to CHS are appreciated. If you'd like a handout to share please email Alyson (we do appreciated sharing).
Happy Training, see you next week!
P.S. A few people made requests, so you can now subscribe to our blog via email so you don't miss out, just enter your email in the box at the top right of your screen and hit submit.

Homework and a Week Off
You're homework for this week is to share with everyone three things you love about your dog, and 1 thing you'd like to work on. You get an extra week for this one since next week is our off week. Be specific about the thing you'd like to work on, and I'll spend my "off week" giving everyone tips on those behaviors or problems that each of you would like to work on.
Don't forget the training challenge for this month!
Happy Training!

Homework - Dental Health Month
Did you know that it's Pet Dental Health Month?
What are you doing to care for your pet's teeth?
Chewing and rinsing are good, but brushing is the best way to take care of your pet's teeth, and should be done daily to achieve the greatest benefit. Good oral care is extremely important for your pet's health, and prevents many health problems that can result from an unhealthy mouth.
Doggy breath isn't "normal" if your dog has breath you should investigate the cause with your veterinarian.
Your homework this week, is to commit to brushing your pet's teeth daily. Remember to use a toothpaste made for dogs! There are also wipes and gels available to make your job easier. Share your experience with us in a comment below!
Don't forget MVVHC's dental open houses!
Wednesday February 22nd 4-6pm in North Logan
Saturday February 25th 10am-12pm in Providence
Come in to have a technician assess your pet's teeth and make recommendations for their oral health for free!
